Who doesn't love saltwater fish?  I personally love them on a plate with a little bit of mango salsa but I've heard that there are several fish enthusiasts out there that actually keep them as pets.  If you're one of these saltwater fish lovers, I can't say I blame you.  Growing up in the Midwestern United States, I didn't ever really see a lot of pretty tropical fish.  If you've ever been to Lake Superior, you know that all of our fish are kind of ugly and brown.  If you are a collector of tropical fish you or if you want to be, you need to find yourself a saltwater fish store to make sure that you have everything you need to keep these little buggers alive.

                Saltwater fish stores are everywhere.  You can find them online and in just about any town on the planet because apparently, saltwater fish are big business.  Speaking of fish, this is the first thing that you would need to look for at the saltwater fish store.  These stores sell all types of exotic fish and depending on what kind you're looking for, fish can get expensive so be prepared to spend some money.  These stores also sell an amazing variety of coral to give your fish something to play hide and go seek in.  There are some unbelievably beautiful species that will do well in a tank.

                Saltwater fish stores also stock all of the basic essentials that you'll need to keep your fish happy.  Obviously you're going to need to buy an aquarium.  These come and different sizes and, to my surprise, lots of different shapes.  You'll want to make sure that you understand what size tank you're going to need.  If your fish doesn't have enough room, it will die.  The store workers should be able to give you a good idea of the size tank that you'll need to create a sustainable living environment for your fish.

                Saltwater fish stores also carry all of the chemicals that you'll need in order to keep your underwater environment balanced and clean.  They sell things to balance out the pH and the alkalinity, chemicals for calcium growth and a whole periodic table of other elements that you can add to your little mini ocean to make it near perfect.

                I know I've said it once before but let me reiterate; saltwater fish stores are not cheap.  Be sure you're willing to spend the money on the upkeep or this hobby isn't worth your time.
